Google develops a wide range of products that assists consumers with their everyday life basis, like Google search, Google Maps or Gmail. They always focus on having new projects to create innovative products like the Google driverless car, Google smart watch and Google Glass.
Quality and customer experience are the primary objective
Recently, Google minimized consumers queue time to only about 30 seconds, also, they are developing customer support via video calls. Therefore, their customers’ satisfaction improves up to 100 percent.
Financial Situation
In 2013, Google’s total assets are recorded to be worth US$ 110,920 million with the annum total revenue of US$ 59,825 million. Until the third quarter of 2014, Google’s market capitalization was approximately US$ 362,12 Billion.
Access to the widest group of Internet users worldwide
The industry estimates that over 90% of the mobile search is made through Google search engine and nowadays in most perceptions Google is more than just a source, it’s a habit. (Google Inc, 2014).
Culture of innovation
The innovative culture of Google is shown not only through its products and services, but also through the way they function. Employees are allowed to use 20 percent of their work-time to develop side-projects that they are passionate about.
Weaknesses
Relies on one source of income
95% of Google’s revenue comes from online advertising like AdWords or AdSense; in the long run, this might cause a slowdown in interest of this company.
Unprofitable products
Google has a lot of products and services that don’t charge its users, therefore, most of the time, these products are either not beneficial or contribute very little to the business.
Patent litigations
The fact that Google is involved in numerous patents and intellectual litigations costs a lot of its time and money, also creates great distractions towards the organizational objectives.
